First Flush Contractor Kit

The Bushman First Flush Contractor Kit comes with all the components needed to build your own First Flush Diverter Kit for your Rainwater Harvesting System. Our First Flush Contractor Kit is like our First Flush Connection Kit, except it doesn't ship with the PVC Pipe. PVC Pipe is widely available at hardware and home improvement stores, so many choose to source the pipe locally instead of paying to ship it. 

In between rain events, your roof gets dirty from dust and particles blowing in the wind. It can also collect other various debris, as well as bird and small rodent feces. First Flush Diverters allow the first bit of rainwater flowing off your roof (the dirtiest water) to be diverted away from your rain tank. Once your diverter chamber is full, the plastic ball closes off the chamber and forces the rainwater into your rainwater tank! The dirty water in the chamber eventually self-empties through the drip emitter and is ready for the next rainstorm. The Drip Emitter portion of the chamber has a threaded cleanout. It's recommended you clean the filter every other storm. Just simply spray it clean with your water hose!
